10 years have gone since The Tribe began production in 1998, and in April 2009 it'll be the ten year anniversary since the series was first broadcast in the UK. This section is here to celebrate the milestone. Since it began in the UK the series has been broadcast around the world growing a huge fan base. Unfortunately the series came to an end after the fifth season.

I'm hoping to use this section to catch up on members of The Tribe cast to see what they're up to since the show finished shooting and hear their accounts of working on the series.

A Brief Timeline For The Tribe...

1980's - Raymond Thompson had the original idea for the series.

1997- March - A new channel launches in the UK, namely Channel 5 (Now known as Five).

1997 - Nick Wilson of Channel 5 approaches Cloud 9 to "develop a soap for the millennium targeting a child/adolescent market"

1997 - August - Raymond Thompson and Harry Duffin begin developing the character's and storylines for the series.

1998 - March - After presented with the idea for The Tribe, scripts were commisioned for the series, by Channel 5.

1998 - June - The series was in pre-production, sets were designed and developed, actors casted.

1998 - August - The Tribe began filming.

1999 - March - Principal photography on the series was complete. (It had finished filming). The series entered post-production (editing).

1999 - April 24th - Series 1 of The Tribe began airing in the UK on on Channel 5.
