Okay so I was watching BBC Three’s Snog, Marry, Avoid? as I do, because I love it! It’s hilarious. Anyhows, who crops up infront of the P.O.D (Personal Overhaul Device), it’s Ebony! Check the video out below…
Well OK, it’s not our Ebony from The Tribe, but I couldn’t help but think this lady’s look (and name) is Tribally inspired… Let’s see; she’s got the Zoot hat and goggles (or ‘gaw-gals’ – depending on your accent!) the Ebony ‘racoon strip’ make-up, an amulet (‘cross-eque jewellery’), tight corset and, er, dodgy Tribal fashion sense… I best not take the rip, if she reads this she may track me down and run me over in her police car.
For all I know all ‘military cyber-goths’ like this Ebony chick here dress like this, but it gives a sense of joy in my belief that this is a Tribe fan who’s keeping the dream alive! – You go girl! Represent!
Snog, Marry, Avoid? is a BBC 3 series which takes girls and guys with extreme fashion senses and makes them under by finding their natural beauty. The series is presented by former Atomic Kitten Jenny Frost and the computer POD. Ebony featured in episode 9 of the second series, which can be viewed in full on the BBC iPlayer here.
I luv this series also, it’s fun watching the skanks who crop up. The make-under’s are great, I can’t believe most of them usually go back to their extreme looks though. Anyhows, I think this Ebony is a more tamer example of the usual Jodie/Jordan clones who appear on the series.
I also thought she was a Tribe fan when I watched it on Saturday. Took me back to when I dressed up for a cast signing in Manchester.
Hah hah, I was a bit too embaressed to dress up for any cast meets, but kudos to those who did.
- Yeah that Barbie boy was freaky! I think the skankyest one was that girl who goes out with nothing but her knickers and duct tape around her boobs. Good entertainment though!
She’s quite obviously either a Tribe fan or just someone who’s seen the Ebony/Zoot picture and thought, hey that looks cool.

I saw the comments on the youtube video itself, and she IS a Tribe fan!!! Its awesome she showed up on tv in tribe stylee. I agree with the pod, She should smile more, and she don’t look like a chipmunk!
Googling yourself brings up so many amusing results.. :P I am a tribe fan although im not going “i want to look like the tribe characters” its my own style but influenced by Zoot mainly as he is the sex.
I changed my name to ebony when i was 14, its actually Ebony Van-Tassel, prizes for anyone who gets the other influence.
I do have a lot of other looks that are encompassed by the pigeon hole of military cyber goth, and also outside of too like as close to Lolita as i can get without it looking stupid, (6ft 2 dolly doesnt work)
And its not fashion sense its anti-fashion sense i like it it suits me and it makes me feel good, thats all people should care about really.

No they scouted me when i was out clubbing, and i thought why not, i get to defend myself on tv. They filmed me for over an hour where i said a lot more interesting and insightful things but they went with the scary angle.. I happened to be wearing pretty much what i wore on the show when i was clubbing so they asked me to wear the same thing.

she’s a military cyber goth that yes does listen to cheesy music, yes does smile, no doesnt necessarily look like an chipmunk when she smiles which yes is actually quite often, she is a tribe fan and has gotten her name through that though not entirely because of it, i know this coz i work with her and whilst strange ( nothing to do with her gothisism) she is funny and a very nice person…
Cool, I thought I was the only one around here who liked The Tribe :P Actually I must admit some of my makeup/hair/clothes ideas were influenced by it as well, though mostly by Trudy in my case! lol
Also to anyone who reads this, I’ve actually met this girl through a friend of mine and she’s lovely, so no saying anything bad about her ;P

Ebs is military strength, weapons grade AwesomEpic. Anyone who says otherwise obviously highlights that a village somewhere is short of an idiot.
A very individual, cool and insightful person. Sadly going for the usual TV trick of cutting what the person says and editing what the presenter (in this case, the pod) says.
Yet even with the usual TV trickery I think she comes out on top.

i actually know ebony,been a friend of mine for years and you`d be surprised at how different she is compared to how she dresses,yes its shocking but thats the point,put it this way anyone would be lucky to have her as a friend no matter how she looks,i for one know as a fact shes a brilliant friend
well i know ebony because she happens to be a really close friend to me and her make under was fab i happen to have all her cyber goth glasses because she seems to live with out them fine.
