Thank fuck for Norrie Montgomery and theAlist! – Pardon my language ;)
On July 23rd The Tribe cast were out in force, at the SkyCity theatre in Auckland, to support (those sexy Techno’s) James Napier Robertson and Tom Hern at their film premiere I’m Not Harry Jenson. Check the photos out below…
The highlight is definitely a pic of the gorgeous Vicky Rodewyk (The Tribe’s Gel), I think Jeana is her sister who is also in the pic? There’s also a lovely one of Beth Allen with Antonia Prebble as well a pic of the ever so sassy Shortland Street star Fleur Saville (Tribe’s Ruby) with NZ celeb mates Amanda Billing and Anna Jullienne – there were alot of NZ stars at the event. Looks like everyone enjoyed themselves, as well as the movie itself.
Meryl Cassie was also at the event but sadly there’s no photo of her. She did however mention on her Facebook that she enjoyed the premiere. [I'm sure she won't mind the FB link posted here as she like's to keep contact with fans]. For more pics from the premiere of other attendees check out theAlist.

We begged, we stole, we borrowed…
Check out this brilliant interview with James Napier Robertson and Tom Hern on their ‘psychological movie thriller’ I’m Not Harry Jenson…
On the eve before the premiere of their movie, the guys talk about getting the money, the cast and the numerous issues faced on their journey in film making.
There’s a snippet of The Tribe in the video too! Ian Mune, who was a director on The Tribe, speaks about his previous work with the guys and how the tables were turned when they approached him to star in their film… The interview video is from TVNZ. We have more info on the movie here & the official site is here.

Miriama Smith and several other well known New Zealand celebs (who I don’t know as I’m not from NZ) have banded together to record a song for the charity event The Big Night In to be held on the 8th and 9th August 2009. Check the video out for ‘Thank You For The Love’ below, it’s sort of a behind-the-scenes/recording the song music video. (The video starts 10 seconds in!)

Beth Allen, along with her boyfriend Charlie McDermott, will be on stage together in the play Killer Joe by Tracy Letts.
Beth and Charlie play a brother and sister in the play, though according to Beth “There is a edge of inappropriateness to Dottie and Chris’s relationship. It is a totally different character to Brooke on Shortland Street; Dottie is sexually unaware, while at the same time providing some of the play’s most shocking moments.”
[edit] Thanks to Hanna/Jaco for sourcing the Beth Allen promotional shot for Killer Joe. Check out the Facebook page for the production here, it features more pics and info.
The production will run in September 11th – October 3rd 2009, with an opening/preview night on the 10th September, running at The Basement theatre in Auckland. The website does not have info on the play yet though.

Quick post! There’s an audio interview with James Napier Robertson (Jay in The Tribe) and Tom Hern (who played Techno leader Ram in The Tribe) from New Zealand’s 95bFM radio station. Click here to download and listen to it!
The guys talk about making the movie I’m Not Harry Jenson.
This post has been back dated.
As the date to the movie premiere of James Napier’s directorial debut I’m Not Harry Jenson is fast approaching, another interview has appeared. This time it’s James Napier Robertson turn to talk about movie making.
It is a short interview, but it’s interesting as James talks about how he got into directing. Things are looking good as he is currently in talks with Paramount Pictures about a future project… The interview is from The North Shore Times and can be read here, also below.
For more articles featured on the site about James Napier and Tom Hern’s collaboration on the film I’m Not Harry Jenson click here, the movie previously had the working title of The Devil’s Run. The trailer to INHJ can be seen here. Continue reading…

I’ve spotted an interesting article about the movie I’m Not Harry Jenson here. It looks like Tom Hern and James Napier have called their production company Six String Pictures and the trailer for their first movie collaboration is available now, check it out below…

Judging from the trailer the movie looks pretty intense and although they had a small budget it looks like it is a high quality production. The film is by James Robertson Napier and the production by Tom Hern. Their website though, ImNotHarryJenson.com, currently seems to redirect to the film premiere information page on the New Zealand film festival site. [edit] As of 20th July 2009 the website is live with new content! Continue reading…
Fleur Saville (Ruby in The Tribe / Libby Jeffries in Shortland Street) attended the opening night of Cirque de Soleil’s Dralion in Auckland. On theAlist there’s a picture of Fleur Saville with New Zealand actor/model Colin Mathura Jeffree and also a pic here with fellow Shorty star Anna Jullienne from Getty Images.
Also on theAlist is a pic of Jessie Gurunathan, who was Dawn in The Tribe, she is pictured with her partner Jay Reeve and also a pic of Robyn Malcolm, who was Ma’am in series 2′s Lex and Ryan pre-Tribe, pictured with her son Charley.
Looks like a fun night was had by all!
Check out the lovely pics of Beth Allen with the gentle giants at Auckland Zoo.
