Antonia Prebble and Beth Allen are Fabulous Friends!

There is a lovely feature from New Zealand’s Woman’s Weekly about friendship. Amongst the friends who are featured in the article are Beth Allen and Antonia Prebble. They of course starred alongside each other in The Tribe as Amber and Trudy, and since then have also been on screen together in Outrageous Fortune. Here’s a sweet extract from Beth on Antonia:

I struggled for a while in my early twenties, when I was doing less interesting jobs and not much acting, and Antonia would tell me, ‘It will definitely happen for you’. She never questioned it. That was tremendously comforting.

Shortland Street Updates : Beth On Dad : New Fleur Pics

Last week there was an article on the Shortland Street website where the cast talked about their Father’s for a NZ Father’s Day special… Beth Allen (Brooke Freeman in Shorty/Tribe’s Amber) talked about her pops who definitely sounds like a top bloke, the article is here and pasted below. Also on the Shorty website were a few lovely pics of Fleur Saville (Libby Jeffries in Shorty/Tribe 5′s Ruby) posing on a new set design, check the pics out here and here.

And just a final bit of news, Sally Martin, who had a brief role in series 4 of The Tribe as ‘paid for bimbo’ Kandy, is joining the cast of Shortland Street. I’m not sure if she will be a permanent fixture though. Her most well known character to date is the Blue Wind Ranger, Tori Hanson, in Power Rangers Ninja Storm. Continue reading…

Bevin Linkhorn : ‘Two Day Play’ Judge Turns Into Competitor…

Bevin Linkhorn, Ned in The Tribe, will be in a team taking part in the two day play 2009 competition this September.

His team have 48 hours to prepare a 10 minute play which will be performed at the Bats theatre in Auckland. Previously Bevin has been a judge at the event, this time round he will be a competitor, good luck to you Bevin!
