How similar are you to the character Beth (other than having the same name)?
Beth Connolly and I are similar in that we are just ordinary teenage girls facing the different situations that many teens go through, like moving to a new town and making new friends.
What do you think about your character becoming a 24-hour interactive online presence – rather than someone she can shut away at the end of each episode?
I think that this is great for viewers because it makes the character seem more like a real friend. For teenagers, advice from friends is a huge thing, and so is the internet as a popular method of communication. The online format will allow viewers to be involved with Beth as a close friend instead of someone they just watch on tv.
