Fleur Saville and Antonia Prebble were amongst the New Zealand stars who attended a special showing of New Zealand movie Sione’s Wedding which was holding a one off screening event on October 10th at Auckland’s Sky City to raise money for the Red Cross’ Samoa Earthquake and Tsunami appeal. Fleur Saville also had a wee role as a bar girl in part of the film. It was originally released in 2007.
Also raising money for the Samoan appeal are a series of online auctions found at TradeMe.co.nz. Amongst the items on auction are Beth Allen’s gown worn on the Shortland Street 2009 promotional photos and Antonia Prebble’s stripey jumper worn in Outrageous Fortunes series 4 promo photos.
There’s also an awesome Shortland Street t-shirt signed by Fleur Saville, Lee Donoghue (The Tribe’s Spike) and Sally Martin (The Tribe’s Kandy). Check that out here. I’m sure Beth Allen will also be signing it as it is still making the rounds through the Shortland Street cast.
Miriama Smith had a pink Bostik Blue-Tak sculpture she made (I think it’s an ice cream cone?) auctioned on Trade-Me, to raise money for Breast Cancer Action Month.
And finally Antonia Prebble is re-supporting the charity Movember this 2009. More news on her involvement on the appeal can be found here. You can get the Antonia ‘Movember’ look by buying your ‘tache here.
That brings an end to the charity review, unless there is more you have spotted? Do get in touch… And all the best to the cast with their charity work and their efforts in getting involved with supporting their chosen charities. With thanks to AntoniaPrebble.com and BethAllen.Webs for info.

damn I want that T-SHIRT!!
How rude does that pink ice cream cone look when you scroll down fast. Haha.
Lol I definitely see what you mean Paul!!!
It took me a while myself to figure out it was an ice-cream cone. It’s… Weird. I guess it’s one of those McDonald’smini ice creams cones you get lol.
