Harry Duffin, who wrote for (as well co-created) The Tribe, has just recently had his book Chicago May published with the publisher Spiderwize (ISBN: 978-1907294617).
The synopsis of the novel, inspired by a true story, is as follows:
In 1919, stealing money to escape a violent, abusive father, sixteen year old May Sharpe flees her native Ireland to chase her dream of finding a new life in America. But, arriving penniless in New York, May has to make a stark choice, between living an honest life in poverty, or crime. Within two short years May becomes the toast of the city’s criminal community. But, at the height of her success, May is forced to re-examine her morality, and loyalties, and make a decision which could threaten, not only her new-found fame and fortune, but
her young life.
You can buy Harry Duffin’s novel at Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.com (USA), Amazon.ca (Canada) as well as other good online retailers – it is nicely priced too!
There is no update on The Tribe based book Blood Of The Judas, which Harry Duffin wrote with fellow Tribe writer David Richard Fox. But maybe if interest in Chicago May proves positive, Blood Of The Judas will have a better chance at being published?
