Cast Agencies

This page is a work in progress. I thought it’d be a good idea to put the links to the casts agencies up, just to promote the cast of The Tribe and their work; aswell as those who had notable appearances in the series.

Unfortunately I can’t find agencies for all cast members, so if you have found any that are missing or know of others please do add the links for them in the comment box and I’ll put them into the main page, thank you. Also if it is required that a profile be removed from here, please do let me know.

Hi, my name is Ron Burley. I was just wondering if you guys happen to know if anyone familiar may have landed a role in the new season of Power Rangers? The original owner bought the rights back from Disney, and was just curious if anyone got a role?

    Thank you

  • Clare

Hi Ron, as far as I am aware all of the Power Rangers for the new series (Season 18) have been cast in America, they will be flown to New Zealand to film the new series. However some extras and ‘baddies’ may be cast in New Zealand. But I don’t know of any just yet.

Ranger Crew have details on the core cast here.

Hi, My name is Roz and I’m Huge fan Laura Wilson’s. Can you beable tell me what Laura is Doing Now as i wuld like to Write to her.

As far as casting goes for Power Rangers Samurai, Saban has cast American actors for the rangers and a couple supporting roles. The only New Zealand native in the show so far is Rene Naufahu, who will play the mentor, Takeru. (He was also in Power Rangers SPD as Emperor Grumm back in 2005)

As for Tribe alum, nothing. There has been no word of a team-up with RPM (since that was a Disney season, and Samurai will be a Saban one), so Ari Boyland probably won’t return as Flynn. However, it’s possible that we could see guest spots by some of the Tribe cast throughout the course of the show. Supposedly, Power Rangers Samurai will run over the course of 2 years. In 2011, it will consist of 40 episodes.

That is awesome, thank you Jesse for the update. I do hope some of The Tribe cast appear in Power Rangers Samurai, it’s always great to see them in other shows. I also enjoy the PR series, greath mythology. Though I’m not hardcore I must admit!

  • Jesse

New news on Power Rangers in New Zealand. Apparently, Saban Brands is in talks with Toei to acquire the rights to adapt a season of PR based on Tensou Sentai Goseiger, which has an angel motif. If it happens, it may air next year. Supposedly, they want to get the 35th Super Sentai Series, Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, which has a pirate motif, for the 20th season of PR for 2013. We could see Tribe alum cast in major roles for both potential seasons, we’ll have to wait and see.

  • Clare

That’s fantastic news – thank you Jesse. Definitely hope to see The Tribe cast in more PR.

  • Jesse

It seems that PR: Samurai will not go on for two seasons. However, nothing has been confirmed for 2012 yet. More than likely, Goseiger would be adapted over Gokaiger, since 2013 will be 20 years since MMPR first aired. Whether or not Saban will cast NZ actors in ranger roles if the show goes on remains to be seen. Other roles (Allies, Villains, etc.) are pretty much a given.

  • Jesse

*Ironically, Goseiger is about tribes as well. There were three in the show: Skick (Red and Pink Rangers), Landick (Black and Yellow Rangers), and Seaick (Blue Ranger).

  • Jesse

Somewhat Tribe related, Kimberley Crossman, who is in Shortland Street, has been confirmed to be in Power Rangers Samurai. She will play Megan, the female red ranger.

I know she wasn’t in The Tribe, but she’s worked with various cast members.

  • Sienna

Wow Jesse, I love Kim Crossman from Shorty, that is great news! I know she left the show and also has an agent in America, well done to her :)

Right now, Saban is casting for the next season of Power Rangers. It looks like the acual rangers will be North American actors. However, it doesn’t mean that any NZ actors may get supporting roles. The sixth ranger of the next series, may just be a voice over, if that’s the case, I could see Saban hiring local talent in that instant.

In case anyone wasn’t aware, Deker’s actor in Samurai, Rick Medina, was the Red Wild Force Ranger. Wild Force was the last season produced in the States before production went to New Zealand.

  • Jesse

The next season of Power Rangers will be another season of Samurai. For some reason, it’s being called Power Rangers Super Samurai. It airs sometime in February. From what I have gathered, the 2013 season will be the Goseiger adaptation and the 2014 will be the Gokaiger one. Saban has gone back to using non-union actors, we’ll have to wait and see if any Tribe alum show up in the show.
