Amelia Reynolds (Tally in The Tribe series 3/Paradise Cafe’s Chloe) made a brief appearance in the short film Longdrummer, which was entered into the V 48HOURS Film Festival New Zealand. See if you can spot her in the short film below:

The short film made it into the Wellington finalists selection. Longdrummer was directed by Dean Hewison and featured the following cast: Richard Falkner, Sean McChensey, Jess Manins, Theo Gordon, Raquel Sims, Adrienne Roberts, Ethan Morrison, Thomas Raethel, Libby Butcher, Jarl Benzan, Emile de la Rey, Olivia Devitt, Lisa Devitt, Bonne Becconsall, Amelia Reynolds, Ash Dearnley, Nova Waretini-Hewison, Eugene Becconsall, Rebecca Leydon, Tim Gordon, Paul Brophy, Michelle McPartlin.

Remember Paradise Cafe? It was shown in 2009 in the UK (BBC1/CBBC) and TV2 in New Zealand. It starred The Tribe’s Amelia Reynolds (Tally in Tribe 3) as the character Chloe aswell as Lara Custance (who played Harmony in The Tribe spin-off The New Tomorrow) as Abi…

Amelia Reynolds and Lara Custance in Paradise Cafe Well, the series was so successful that both the actors will be reprising their roles in the second series of Paradise Cafe! Amelia and Lara have already began filming the second series, in April 2010 filming commenced in Wellington and this month they are going to be shooting in Rarotonga.

All the best to both of them, can’t wait to see what mysteries the new series has instore!

How did I miss this?! Paradise Cafe, which was shown in the UK in January on CBBC/BBC1, has finally began it’s run in it’s homeland, New Zealand, on TV2.

The series stars Amelia Reynolds (The Tribe’s Tally) as sea-ghost Chloe and Lara Custance (The New Tomorrow’s Harmony) as Abi. With the launch of the series in New Zealand came a website for the series, featuring new pics, interviews with the cast (they are worth reading and are pasted below!) and a video interview with Amelia has appeared on YouTube…YouTube Preview Image

Amelia Reynolds (who played Tally in The Tribe 3) took part in the New Zealand’s 48 Hours film making festival as one of the performers in the short film Otack Otack Otack Fall by Killah Walz/Orca. The filmmaking event sees the production of short films from beginning to end within the alloted time. Check out Amelia’s performance in the video below…YouTube Preview ImageThe short won the title of the best film in the Wellington heats. Amelia Reynolds scored an award also for best actress in the Wellington awards. Nice one!

Amelia Reynolds : Haunting UK Screens In Paradise Café

amelia-reynolds-paradise-cafe-01Flame haired Amelia Reynolds, who played Tally in The Tribe series 3, can be seen in the new UK BBC series Paradise Cafe. The kids show has been described as “a beachside mystery with a supernatural twist”. In the series Amelia plays the character Chloe… It turns out that Chloe is not just a girl, but also a ghost… Spooky.

amelia-reynolds-paradise-cafe-02Amelia gave a great performance in the show. The show itself is, uhm… Not my cuppa. Episode 1 premiered on Tuesday 6th January, further episodes will be shown weekly on Tuesdays at 5:15pm on CBBC. Episode one is on the BBC iPlayer.

A young Nelson woman has landed a top role in one of the Disney Channel’s highest-rating television shows.

Former Nayland College student Amelia Reynolds, 19, who is now based in Wellington, was this week named as part of the 10-strong cast for the second season of the Australian-made comedy As the Bell Rings.
