Check out the showreel for Ari Boyland below… Ari starred in The Tribe series as KC. Please not the video contains allot of swearing!  Ari Boyland’s first major acting gig was in The Tribe playing KC. Post The Tribe he landed a role in a Disney TV movie You Wish! He later worked in the Disney produced Power Rangers series playing the Blue Lion Ranger, Flynn McAllistair, in Power Rangers RPM. His recent works include a re-curring role in hit NZ series Go Girls and appearing in Shortland Street as the character Brodie Kemp during 2010-2011. I am not sure what TV series/film the first clip of the showreel is from, please let me know if you know, it looks interesting!  
Okay some of the pics aren’t exactly new… The new Ari Boyland pics were previously mentioned on the forum here [there's more pics of him there ;)] his profile also mentions he has an agent in America, hopefully we get to see more of him… The new Amelia Reynolds pics look great, there’s a whole set of new ones on her profile. There is one new Miriama Smith pic added to her agency profile, I’m not sure how new it is though… Her profile also mentions she has representation in Australia… Lara Custance, seen as Harmony in The New Tomorrow and known for her role as Abi in BBC’s Paradise Cafe, has two new pics on her profile. I also came across the profiles of Paige Shaand Haami and Zoe Robins. Time has sure gone quick snce they appeared as Cass and Faygar (respectively) from the Ant Tribe in The New Tomorrow! Both girls have work as models as well as pursuing acting work – I’m not sure how old the pics on their profiles are though. For old times sake, here’s a pic of Paige Shaand Haami as Cass from when she was in The New Tomorrow, and here is Zoe Robins as Faygar. … Time flies.  Ari Boyland can currently be spotted on New Zealand and Australian screens in the Kit Kat advert for their latest chocolate bar, Chunky 3. Check out the advert: Sorry if you were expecting to see some builder crack ;) Ari Boyland is known in New Zealand for his role as Brodie Kemp in Shortland Street as well as guest appearing in hit series Go Girls.  One for fans of Shortland Street – the sexy cast of the hit New Zealand medical drama got together for a bi-annual photo shoot this year (see some of 2009′s here). The group shot looks amazing with a sort of artistic/painted feel to it, check it out in all it’s glory below…

Power Ranger fans will also note that Ari Boyland was the Blue Lion Ranger – Flynn McAllistair – in Power Rangers RPM, Sally Martin played Blue Wind Ranger – Tori Hanson – in Power Rangers Ninja Storm (as well as guesting in Dino Thunder/Operation Overdrive) and Beth Allen has had guest spots in Power Rangers Operation Overdrive and Space Patrol Delta as Vella/Ally Samuels. He lost out to Nick Oswald as New Zealand’s Cleo bachelor of the year 2011, but that hasn’t stopped our favourite bachelor Ari Boyland from dreaming up his own family plans. In NZ Woman’s Weekly magazine Ari talks about starting his own family as well as recently becoming an uncle to Ezra, his sister Ruth’s daughter. The article appeared around March 13th in the mag. There’s also a mention of The Tribe, which he starred in at the age of 10 as KC, he’s 23 now, time sure has gone quick. He currently plays Brodie Kemp in Shortland Street. The video features Shortland Street hunk Ari Boyland (who plays Brodie Kemp) lip-syncing his way through the song. The video was produced and directed by fellow Shortland Streeter Kiel McNaughton (who plays Scotty). The video ‘Roman Sandals’ would no doubt appeal to New Zealanders as it seems as though (from my, er, research) they have all at one point or other have adorned a pair of this footgear. Uhm. Well. Er. Final comment… I’m liking the shorts Ari :D  
Ari (formerly KC in The Tribe/Blue Lion Power Ranger Flynn in RPM) has been listed as one of the finalists of Cleo Magazine’s Bachelor Of The Year 2011! Well done Ari! To vote for Ari, click here. The adult-only comedy production follows the misadventures of a group of toys when their owner Charlie is taken away by an ambulance… What happened to the boy? How were the toys involved? – Toy Story this isn’t! Further details can be found on The Basement website. Toys will run from Thursday, 2 December 2010 – Saturday, 18 December 2010. As with their previous Christmas productions (The Reindeer Monologues and Christ Almighty), the cast of Toys will be rotating so you won’t know who’ll be on the night you go… Other members of the cast in Toys who have appeared in The Tribe include Gareth Reeves (The Hunga, series 2) and Robyn Malcolm (Ma’am, series 2). |
