Bevin Linkhorn, who works for the New Zealand media company Gibson Group, has been promoting the companies new venture, online site Mash Pit Comedy. The site let’s users upload comedy clips, edit/mash them up and reupload them. The best clips, as well as being featured on the site, will then be shown on TV. A quote from Bevin on the venture: “It’s a good opportunity for any kiwi, and grassroots comedians and actors in particular, to show us their stuff and mash up the work of others too.”
Bevin Linkhorn, Ned in The Tribe, will be in a team taking part in the two play 2009 competition this September. His team have 48 hours to prepare a 10 minute play which will be performed at the Bats theatre in Auckland. Previously Bevin has been a judge at the event, this time round he will be a competitor, good luck to you Bevin! More info can be found here.
Bevin Linkhorn will be on the judging panel for the Two Day Play competitions being held during New Zealand’s Fringe festival in February. Bevin is no stranger to the theatre and performing arts, he has starred in, written and even produce several productions. It all no doubt qualifies him as being a judge!
The event will see competitors developing and putting on a theatre play in the two day time frame.
Okay this isn’t such major news, but hey I liked him in The Tribe, so wanted to post about it! Lol. Bevin starred as Ned in series 3 of The Tribe and also featured in indie film Futile Attraction, alongside Michelle Ang (Tribe’s Tai-San) and Lee Donoghue (Spike in The Tribe and current Shortland Street hotty!).
