Right, here’s a new thing to the blog, DVD reviews (or general reviews) of Tribe related things. First up is a review of Tongan Ninja. If you would like to do a review for a film featuring a member of The Tribe cast, then get in touch :)

DVD Extras : Sadly none on the region 2 DVD. No subtitles either.

From The Tribe : Charley Murphy Samau (Charlie in The Tribe 4), Bevin Linkhorn (Ned The Tribe 3), The Beat Girls (The Smile in The Tribe 2).

About The Film : The Tongan Ninja follows the lead character Sione Finau and his arch nemesis Marvin. The film begins with a young Sione (played by Charley Murphy) and Marvin in a plane, which is being flown by Sione’s father. Marvin damages the plane and it crashes on an island. Sione’s father dies on the island (a funny death scene!) and Sione and Marvin end up in a training camp for ninja’s – which is conveniently based on the island they crashed on.

Charley Murphy-Samau : New Pics

Check out the new agency photos of Charley Murphy-Samau. He is definitely looking very ruggedly handsome indeed! I believe he is now 18…

New images appeared recently on his agency profile. Charley played, Charley (Mouse’s brother) in The Tribe series 4, he was about 10 years old at the time.

Charley Samau : Young & Hungry : Urban Hymns

Remember wee ‘young and hungry’ Charlie in The Tribe? He was Mouse’s brother and disappeared a few episodes into series 4… Well Charley Murphy Samau who played Charlie is set to go on stage, as part of Auckland’s Young and Hungry Festival.

Charley will be on stage in the production Urban Hymns at the Basement Theatre, Auckland. The show is running from 11th July to 25th July daily at 9.30pm.
