Jacob Tomuri (who was Lieutenant Luke in The Tribe) was looking awesome in
Spartacus : Blood And Sand. Currently Jacob is filming the prequel to the STARZ series;
Spartacus : Gods Of The Arena.
You can keep updated with Jacob on the filming of the series by following him on Twitter. Previous musings of his were:
“My G string is killing me. Ladies, I don’t know how you do it. Seriously. #Onsetofspartacus” (26th August)
“‘We need blood… urgently!…. a lot of it!’ #Thingsyouhearonspartacus” (5th August)
Jacob specialises in stunt work. Though it seems he is currently learning archery, could this be a sign of things to come in Spartacus? Filming for Spartacus : Gods Of The Arena began early in August 2010.

Nick Miller will be playing a role as a Police Officer in Spies & Lies, which stars Antonia Prebble in a lead role. Hopefully they’ll be in a few scenes together – one hopes! Spies & Lies is a TV movie “set in 1942 wartime New Zealand”.
Jacob Tomuri meanwhile is going strong in his career as a stunt performer. He is doing stunt work in the forthcoming TV epic Spartacus: Blood and Sand made by Starz which stars top NZ star Lucy Lawless in it. Jacob also did stunt work in the recently released Ashley Tisdale film Aliens in the Attic and Peter Jacksons future film release The Lovely Bones.
Nick Miller and Jacob Tomuri are also credited in James Cameron future epic release Avatar.

| Jacob Tomuri, who played Luke in The Tribe series 3, features in a short film called Ergotism. The film, by Stefan Rochfort is “a black comedy following three friends trying to outrun a powerful psychedelic poison”. It is also based on a true story… Jacob plays Mat, David Van Horn as Shotgun and Eve Gordon as Sharon. |

The short was released in 2008, so this is old news, but it is doing the rounds at film festivals – appearing next at the 25th Hamburg International Kurzfilm Festival in Germany on June 4th and 7th 2009. More details from the festival website are here. The IMDB listing is here. I believe the film maker is hoping to turn it to a feature film in future.
