Check out this great video showing The Tribe cast behind the scenes on series 4 of The Tribe, if you live in Germany you are likely to have seen it in 2003 on Ki.Ka, but for non German residents, like myself, this was the first time I saw it! It is in German, but the footage is great!
The video was uploaded by TribeS7g17 (subscribe to them!). If you watch the whole of the video above (after those annoying blooper clips) you’ll see Meryl Cassie (Ebony) and James Napier (Jay) looking very coupley towards the ending of the vid!… Though I’m pretty sure in the interview they say they aren’t dating and are ‘good friends’.
A link to the vid was posted by Shabbs on tribeHeaven’s Twitter earlier this week. It is now also in The Tribe Video section – there’s a full description of all three parts of the Tribe Fever special there, part two is the one posted above. The rest of the footage was of The Tribe tour, most of it is exclusive to Ki.Ka from when the cast visited Germany.
Please note: The competitions are both now closed.
Congrats to Ross (UK) who won the [old] Power & Chaos book.
Congrats to Julian (NZ) who won the signed Power & Chaos book.
Lucky viewers in Australia are still getting to watch The Tribe on tv channel ABC3. The first series has already finished broadcasting and the second series of The Tribe is currently past the halfway point.
Not only is the series broadcasting on the TV channel ABC3 (currently at 3.30pm on weekdays), but they are also showing it online (for Australian viewers only) so if your in Australia you can never miss an episode! Rewatch as the Mall Rats take on the Zoot worshipping Chosen.
However, amongst the fans that are discussing the show, as usual there are the haters.
Competition… Win A Signed P&C Book!
Were currently in 2010, already 10 years have passed since the episodes were first broadcast in the UK! But what do you think? Is The Tribe out of date and irrelevant? Or is it still entertaining? Let us know in a comment below.
All comments will be entered into a prize draw to win a signed copy of Power & Chaos written by Paula Boock. The book was released on 18th September 2000 in New Zealand. The book in the competition is a second hand copy, a first edition and like all good books it is ageing. As an added rare treat it is also signed by Daniel James who played Zoot throughout The Tribe series (click here to view an image – it is yellowing due to it’s age).
This competition is open to everyone worldwide so wether you’re in Australia, Finland or Hong Kong you can enter it! Continue reading…
Hello, Clare here, Happy New Year to all! It’s a bit late I know.
Well, it’s been a full year now of me writing for this cast blog, it sure has been fun when I’ve had the time. I thought I’d do a 2009 review featuring some of the highlights to appear on the site over 2009… So, join me and take a look back and remember the stories from 2009 or read up on those you may have missed, plus there’s a few new ones at the bottom lol. Please note, all the links open up in this same window except for external site links. Click the continue reading link to read on… Continue reading…
Hello, just a quick post. As you can see the cast site has had a bit of a makeover, there’s still a few problems sorting out the links at the top bar and also the contact form, but it seems okay so far. I think it might be easier to read with the black text on the white background, however it is a bit sterile looking. It needs tribalising!!!
This site is as much mine as it is yours. So please give your opinions on the new look! What do you like, what don’t you like? It will be helpful thanks.
Onto the prize winners…
Power And Chaos. The winner of the Power and Chaos book was… *drumroll* Muneera J from Israel, congrats to you! If you didn’t win I’m sorry, the winner was picked at random, but stay tuned for more competitions!
P-Money. The winners have also been announced for the P-Money CD’s, they are: Samantha J L – UK, Tomas E – France and Petra H J – Sweden. I’ve been told you’re prizes are on their way.
Do you want to win more Tribe gear? There’s a raffle draw running on the Sector 4/Fractured Alliance website, so do check that out also. You’re donations also go to the good cause of keeping the dream alive through this fan project!
A little bit more… I have an email address! clare@tribeheaven.co.uk First two people to email me with the message “I Want A Tribe CD!” will receive a You Belong To Me Tribe CD. I’m sure the address is working. Try it out! Congrats to Benji and Ross P who won the CD’s : )
And wasn’t it great seeing The Tribe back on Five on Sunday?

It’s like being reunited with an old friend you haven’t seen for a long, long, long time. It’s time to re-live those early mornings of watching Cloe clutching her teddy bear as she trembles in fear of the fast approaching Loco’s before Amber and Dal swoop in to rescue her…
Sunday October 4th 2009 will see The Tribe return to it’s home on UK TV broadcaster Five. Episode one of series one will be broadcast, running from 11.35am to 12.05pm.
Aswell as The Tribe the Shake! teen-strand is going to be re-introduced, with a line-up including Disney show Hannah Montana. However, according to this article on Broadcast Now, the schedule will be a trial run through to the end of the year, so if it is not successful the shows may not finish broadcasting. But, thank you channel Five regardless, hopefully new fans will join the series and it will hopefully re-ignite The Tribe franchise.
So wether you’re nursing a Saturday night hangover, bored, need a brief trip back in time, or even if you’re a Power Ranger fan, do tune in to The Tribe! Featuring hot New Zealand talent in some of their first mainstream TV roles; including Beth Allen, Dwayne Cameron, Antonia Prebble, Meryl Cassie, Ari Boyland, Michelle Ang and Caleb Ross.
Get everyone viewing! With thanks to TribeRevival for the info! Do join in and check out the discussions over there too.
Right, I’m off to get some pink hairdye, this is an occassion fo sho!
[edit] Tribeworld has been updated with the news!
This competition has now closed.

On Sunday 25th June 2000 Cloud 9 opened their doors to the public for a dual Open Day and Tribal Gathering, inviting people to get a glimpse into the television industry, meet stars of their shows and also win an on-screen part in The Tribe. The day was promoted with Burger King New Zealand, who as a tie-in for the Tribal Gathering displayed promotional posters (as pictured) and Tribe placemats in Burger King restaurants.
You might recognise the pictures – they were previously on the website GAKYA (Gummidge’s Aussie and Kiwi Young Actors ), which has been closed for a long time. The pics were rescued from their archives, they were originally supplied by ‘Lorraine’ (I’m trying to track her down!) some of her pics are also featured on the Kieren Hutchinson website. The video below was shot by Tribeworld/Cloud 9 at the event…

Though it’s 9 years since the event (not 10!), I thought I’d put it up as it was an interesting event held by Cloud 9, during one of the busiest years for The Tribe. Prior to the event Dwayne Cameron (Bray), Caleb Ross (Lex), Michelle Ang (Tai-San) and Meryl Cassie (Ebony) were on a promotional tour in England/Europe and returned to New Zealand on the 24th June, ready for the Tribal Gathering/Open Day for the following day, the cast had finished recording the album and were preparing for the filming of series 3 the following month!
According to Cloud 9 over 20,000 people attended the event, without a doubt making it a success. Continue reading…
Just a random bit of info, I went into Tesco’s and found the complete DVD boxset’s for the Power Ranger series Dino Thunder (James Napier, Miriama Smith, Tom Hern, Dwayne Cameron & Antonia Prebble), Ninja Storm (James Napier), Operation Overdrive (Dwayne Cameron & Beth Allen), Mystic Force (Antonia Prebble) and Space Patrol Delta (Beth Allen, James Napier & Dwayne Cameron) for £10 each. It’s a bargain compared to the current play.com or amazon.co.uk prices (see below). I bought the Dino Thunder DVD set.

More info on the dvd’s and the cast featured can be found on the Power Rangers page.

Okay so I was watching BBC Three’s Snog, Marry, Avoid? as I do, because I love it! It’s hilarious. Anyhows, who crops up infront of the P.O.D (Personal Overhaul Device), it’s Ebony! Check the video out below…
