A Special Christmas Message…

The Tribe's Bob the dog

Everybody’s favourite cast member, Bob the dog, has left a Christmas message via his owner Raymond Thompson over on Facebook, if you’re not on there, check it out:

You will be happy to know that in real life – Bob the dog is still going strong and enjoying his retirement from the acting world … I will post some photos of him in the New Year … he STILL loves all the attention he can get from fans of the TRIBE – or indeed anyone else who visits. So from BOB … woof woof! ….think that might mean Merry Christmas in Dog – though I cannot speak it ….:)

Bob is now almost 16 years old according to Raymond. There is an article below from 2008 (found on The Tribe Wiki) with more info on our four legged friend.

Merry Christmas from tribeHeaven too, best wishes! Continue reading…

Message From Harry Duffin And Raymond Thompson

The Tribe

As a fan of The Tribe you’ll know there has been news of a Tribe revival happening (see the aptly named site Tribe Revival to get up-to-date!)

Anyhows, I have a message from Harry Duffin (co-creator and writer of The Tribe) and Raymond Thompson, check it out:

Hi,
Ray asked me to say that things are moving on a lot of fronts and 2011 looks like being a bumper year.

On a related Tribe note, this summer I published my first novel, Chicago May, which features a teenage heroine, May Sharpe, who wouldn’t feel out of place in the world of the Mall Rats. In fact, I’d say she could become numero uno as she is a feisty mix of Amber and Ebony. Some combination, eh?

The book is available on Amazon worldwide and if we can make it a best seller, it would help enormously in getting a good publishing deal for the Tribe novel, The Blood of the Judas, which I am desperate for all Tribe fans to see.

Have a Happy Christmas and look forward to an exciting New Year.
Keep Tribal and the Dream Alive.

Harry Duffin

So basically by buying Chicago May, the publisher’s can see that Harry Duffin (co-writer of The Blood Of The Judas) is also a bankable author and it may improve the chances of getting a better deal from a publisher for BOTJ. I purchased a copy of the book myself back when it was released, seeing as it was Tribally related (lol) and I’ll be reading it this Christmas.

You can buy Chicago May in the UK Amazon, in Germany and of course the US. All the sites deliver worldwide if you do not have a local amazon store.

Don’t forget to check out and join up to The Tribe Anniversary group and The Tribe page on Facebook.

Raymond Thompson : On Howards’ Way…

cult-of-howards-way-raymond-thompson

Before The Tribe cult began, Raymond Thompson was a writer on the British TV series Howards’ Way. According to Wikipedia, “The series dealt with the personal and professional lives of the yachting and business communities in the fictional town of Tarrant on the South Coast of England”… A far distance from the post-apocalyptic series with tribal face paint…

Howards’ Way had it’s own cult following. In the BBC series ‘The Cult Of…’, in an episode dedicated to this show, Raymond Thompson talks about working on Howard’s Way. The episode first aired on the BBC on February the 24th. You can buy the series on DVD from Amazon.co.uk. The ‘Cult Of… Howards Way’ IMDB listing is here.

[edit] I got hold of the show and have added a screenshot above.
