In a new article Beth Allen talks to Zoe Walker of the New Zealand Herald about fashion. Beth sure is a style icon in our books, you just gotta check the various pics of her out and about! Read Zoe’s article here to find out about Beth’s style choices, from labels to accesories.
My highlight:
Who or what inspires you?
Our costume designer, Nicola Newman, for her grace and professionalism. My mum and dad, who are so wise and funny and cute. My husband-to-be, who has such remarkable drive and enthusiasm. Older actresses who haven’t messed with their faces and get more powerful on and off the screen and stage: Helen Mirren, Judi Dench, Meryl Streep.

Beth Allen (currently Shortland Streets Dr. Brooke Freeman) looked fabulous at the ‘Dynamite’ 2010/11 fashion launch for label Ketz-Ke held on the 10th June 2010 at White Studios in Newton, Auckland.
But let’s face it, Beth always looks fab. Check her out in the photo [left] with Shorty Street co-star Angela Bloomfield (who plays Rachel McKenna)… Beth was also been spotted recently trying on wedding dresses…

On Saturday 1st May Antonia Prebble co-hosted the fashion event Frocktails at Mollies -a hotel in Auckland – with Samantha Hayes. Beth Allen was also in attendance, as well as Sally Martin.
Check out the images of the glamorous ladies on the left. |

Antonia Prebble (Outrageous Fortune’s Loretta West / Trudy from The Tribe) was the host/MC at a fashionable evening for the launch of new book NZ Fashion Design by Angela Lassigat. The event was held at the Grand Tearoom in Auckland’s Heritage Hotel on Thursday April 8th 2010.
As usual Antonia Prebble looked fab. Check out the bigger picture of her from online fashion zine Thread, who said, “the glamorous Antonia Prebble looking stunning in peach satin”. She is pictured in the picture with fashion designer James Dobson (of the label Jimmy D).
Antonia Prebble will be appearing on New Zealand screens this year in the sixth (and possibly final) series of Outrageous Fortune and in the TVNZ tele-movie Spies and Lies.
Big thanks to AntoniaPrebble.com for the news – check it out!

No, that isn’t a typo!
Lee Donoghue has set up his own designer clothing brand called SNAG, which stands for Sensitive New Age Guy… You can check out and buy from his clothing range at SnagClothing.co.nz. He also models the clothes, damn he is fine!
Lee Donoghue of course played Spike in series 2 of The Tribe (he was also a Loco in series 1), he is currently playing the role of Hunter McKay in New Zealand soapĀ Shortland Street.

A sweet pic of Michelle Ang (The Tribe’s Tai-San, Neighbour’s Lori Lee, Xena’s Akemi, South Of Nowhere’s Lily Zee, Outrageous Fortune’s Tracy Hong – to name a few of her well known characters!) has appeared on crude boy’s website Street Boner’s/TV Carnage. They comment on her outfit, calling it shitty, but hey it looks like Michelle’s chilling in her down time, let the girl be!
I spotted the news originally on the Michelle Ang fansite (check it out!). This post has been backdated.
Just a quick edit, Michelle Ang is wearing an Erykah Badu – {2008 AD} – ‘The Vortex Tour’ T-Shirt. You can check the design out on this poster image here.

Okay so I was watching BBC Three’s Snog, Marry, Avoid? as I do, because I love it! It’s hilarious. Anyhows, who crops up infront of the P.O.D (Personal Overhaul Device), it’s Ebony! Check the video out below…

On 5th March fashion label Ed Hardy launched a store in New Zealand. Former tribe babes Beth Allen and Antonia Prebble were both in attendance… Check the pic out from The Sunday Star Times.

Okay, you’re probably bored of the blog by now, but who cares! I’m bored in my office, so I’m searching the web… And I found pics of the girls on the catwalk!

Beth Allen is wearing a design by Hailwood, the girl always looks fantastic in those sequinned numbers. Meanwhile Antonia Prebble was sporting a design by WORLD. Get it, she’s sporting it? Because it’s sports wear… Oh never mind. Antonia was accessorised with a stunning Swarovski crystal-encrusted soccer ball also by WORLD, or maybe the ball was accessorised by the Prebble? Either way it’s a shame the photo is poor quality.
Yeah the photos are crappy in quality, you may find better ones given time, but this is it, I don’t think I’ll be posting anything more to do with the adiCouture ’08 KidsCan fashion show.
Case closed. Images thanks to Fashion NZ.
Edit: I’ve just updated the page and added the images released by KidsCan.
The picture features in a gallery which accompanied a David Beckham centric article.
The article is here, the gallery is here.
The article is funny, fifth paragraph down, when it talks about the fans who hit on David.
There’s no pics yet of Antonia and Beth who were also at the event on 4th December. Miriama Smith is a an ambassador for the KidsCan charity who the event was held in aid of.
