Dwayne Cameron : Fan Chat Trascript 2

Dwayne Cameron - The Tribe Bray

Dwayne Cameron took part in another fan chat with fans of The Tribe during The Tribe online gathering on Sunday 26th June (New Zealand time).

You can check out his full question and answer session on Tribeworld.com. The transcript is great as are his answers.

He did break a few hearts when he answered the question many fans have been asking…

Q: Dwayne very personal question but are you gay?
A: No, but I feel for those who are persecuted and don’t like homophobia and The Tribe was all about trying to create a world where you can be yourself and express yourself in a safe environment.

Dwayne previously did a chat with fans earlier this year on 30th January. The transcript for that chat is here.

Since January he has been busy, having visited fans in Australia for a Tribe DVD signing, spotted in a German TV movie, seen in a beer advert
and appeared onscreen at Cannes. In May he appeared in the stage production Jailbait as the character Mark. Come June he shot his short film, written and directed by himself, Holding The Sun.

Not been a bad year so far eh?

Were looking forward to seeing his short films Holding The Sun and Pleroma as well as the movie Desired.

Vanessa Stacey : On Stage : The Rodwell Monologues

the-rodwell-monologuesVanessa Stacey, otherwise known as Alice in The Tribe (series 2,3 & 5) and Brenda Blue in Jay Jay The Jet Plane (UK version) is set to appear on stage in New Zealand for the production The Rodwell Monologues. Info is below… The pic on the right is the promo pic of the play, I don’t think it is Vanessa…

post-gay-ari-boylands-hot-bodMeanwhile Tribe/Power Ranger star Ari Boyland has his hot bod featured in the promo for the stage play Post Gay, though he doesn’t actually feature in the production. The picture was originally taken to promote the play White Trash Omnibus which featured Ari (more info here). Both plays were written by Patrick Graham.

Both productions are at the Bats Theatre, Wellington. Running during the New Zealand Fringe season. Keep an eye out on that site,  as Amelia Reynolds is set to appear at the Bats theatre in a forth coming production this year.

Ari Boyland Plays It Gay In White Trash Omnibus…

Ari Boyland is looking pretty damn fine these days! The pictures on the right are from the promos for the theatre production White Trash Omnibus. In the production Ari plays the role of gay guy Kevin, well is he gay, or bi?… Either way it’s definitely a way to see our wee KC in a new light! I must say that big tribal tatoo is pretty kick-ass.

The storyline to the production goes as: “Andrew loves Jeremy. Jeremy loves Andrew, but won’t admit it. Jeremy likes to fool around with Kevin. Cheryl thinks she loves Kevin, and is having his baby. Kevin loves himself. Then along comes Denis to f*ck it all up…”

Dwayne Cameron; Shortland Street: Blow By Blow Account

dwayne_shorty3.jpgHah hah excuse the pun.

Okay so more on Dwayne Cameron’s gay scene in Shortland Street, there’s a lovely in-depth account on gaynz.com with pictures, I’ve stolen a few.

dwayne_shorty2.jpgNow why couldn’t The Tribe have storyline like this. Okay… Okay… Let’s not go there. So anyhows,  The only reason I’m only posting this is because I like the pictures so much.

Lol.

In Shortland Street, Dwayne Cameron played the role of Lindsay Reynolds.

Gay Row Hits Shorty Street…

dwayne_shorty.jpgA scene featuring Dwayne Cameron’s character Lindsay Reynolds (pictured left in the picture) in Shortland Street has caused controversy as TVNZ have been accused of trying to censor it. The scene featured Lindsay and his lover Gerald in bed together.

Damn why don’t they show it in the UK anymore!?!
