‘farm girl’ Dawn, she made a great impression on us!
Latest news is that Jess is currently performing in music group The Velvet Sound Society. Their sound is describe as ‘Smooth, soulful lounge, old school jazz & stripped back contemporary pop’. You can have a listen yourself over at Jess’ blog Serendipity Is….
If you are in NZ you can catch Jess performing on Wednesday’s with the group at Sale St. (check here for the latest performance date). You can also get the latest word from Jess Gurunathan herself from her Twitter. She’s also pals with our other favourite New Zealander P-Money!

Meryl Cassie, as previously mentioned on the site, features on the Dance With You track on P-Money’s Everything album. Listen to the tune on the left.
The track also features PNC, Vince Harder and Mz J. I’m pretty sure it’s Meryl who sings the opening verses of the track. What do you think?

More news; our favourite New Zealand DJ/producer P-Money has announced the track listing to his forthcoming album Everything (which will feature the singles Everything and Angels). Meryl appeared in two of P-Money’s music videos, but she will now also be appearing vocally on his album!
Meryl Cassie will feature on track 8, Dance With You, on the Everything album. Dance With You also features hot NZ talent; PNC, Vince Harder & Mz J (Julie Taale). This release is big news for Meryl fans as it is would be a first musical release since The Tribe albums came out back in 2000/2001. I’m not sure how much she features on the track, but still, let’s hope we get to hear it! P-Money’s album Everything will hit NZ on May 3rd, can anyone say import?
Some people say no news is good news, but it is so bloody boring without any news. So, here’s just a tidbit, nowt major like.
You may remember Meryl Cassie (The Tribe’s Ebony) featuring in the P-Money [featuring Vince Harder] music video ‘Everything‘, well the track is currently Radio 1′s Edith Bowman’s record of the week. It is set for a UK release on the UK label 3 Beat Blue in September. Though there’s been major support from Radio 1, I don’t think it has had much airplay on commercial radio stations, but here’s hoping the tune makes it big!
So keep an eye out for the music vid on your telly box! Hopefully if it’s a smash we’ll also see the P-Money Angels vid on our screens! Speaking of videos, check out this on tribeHeaven (it’s still in development) it is a good source of The Tribe videos featuring the cast. I also think there’s still time to enter the comp to win the P-Money Everything CD on tribeHeaven.

The sexy singer/actress star is featured in the P-Money (otherwise known as Peter Wadams) movie music video Angels… It follows on from her previous collab with the artist when she appeared in his music video for Everything, a 2008 No.1 dance track in New Zealand. In the “movie” Angels she plays the girlfriend to his lead character. Check out the trailer below. She’s fab!
Angels appears to be an actual movie, the trailer features scenes suggesting it is of a supernatural/horror nature and last year Meryl did mention she was filming a horror shoot… But P-Money’s blog states the trailer as, “A movie trailer concept for the P-Money recording ‘Angels’; Starring Peter Wadams, Meryl Cassie, Donald Holder & Dirk Peterson”… So it definitely makes it one ellaborate music video!
The release date for the music track ‘Angels’ is today in New Zealand (or you could say it was yesterday given the time difference!)… Marketing for the single involved putting the official looking ‘movie’ posters around New Zealand. Leaving the question, is there really going to be a P-Money flick?
