Forget the fake Beth Allen web profiles dotted around the net as Beth has now made her own official page, particularly for her fans, to follow! – Yay!
Click here for Beth’s Official fan page on Facebook – there’s some awesome Shortland Street pics of her already up!
And just to clarify, I’m pretty sure this here is a fake profile for Beth.
Beth Allen currently stars in Shortland Street as Dr. Brooke Freeman, she is known internationally as The Tribe’s Amber as well as for her various appearances in the Power Ranger series. Beth is also involved in the theatre with credits in both producing and starring in productions.
Info thanks to Shortland Tweet.

Earlier this week I uploaded some videos on youTube of Ari Boyland topless, in a toga, in Shortland Street. And he is looking damn fine buffed up! How could I not write a post and post them up here also? So here’s your weekend treat… There is a video and some pics for you.
Ari Boyland plays Brodie Kemp a mate of Hunter McKay, who is played by Lee Donoghue (aka Tribe’s Series 2 Spike), they feature in allot of scenes together as you can see below. Shame Lee kept his top on!

For an earlier scene of Ari in the toga, click here. I also uploaded a scene featuring Beth Allen (Shorty’s Dr. Brooke Freeman) from the same episode here. The audio is kinda out of sync in the vids, sorry. But hey, this episode aired on the 21st June, so it’s quiet recent stuff!
And just to add, please cast him in Spartacus!!! Want to see more of him in a state of undress *ahem* ;D

Earlier this month Ari Boyland appeared on New Zealand’s The Hub, talking about acting, working on Shortland Street as Brodie Kemp and his life loves, check it out, it is really good. Ari is definitely a friendly and down to earth lad… There’s mentions of The Tribe and Power Rangers in there too…

With an appearance on The Hub, could this mean that Ari Boyland will become a permanent fixture in New Zealand’s top medical drama? – Well, we hope so! We need a new Tribey to take the place of Fleur Saville!
Ari Boyland (The Tribe’s wee KC) sure is all grown up now. Aside from battling evil in Power Rangers RPM, Ari joined fellow Tribe cast alumni in a week long appearance on New Zealand soap Shortland Street earlier this month.
His appearance saw him join the cast of Shorty as Brodie Kemp, a pal to Hunter McKay who is played by Lee Donoghue, who was Spike in The Tribe. Yay. Here’s a scene of the two of them together…

Ari Boyland will again be appearing on New Zealand screens in the TVNZ series Go Girls, where he will be reprising his role of Scott in the second series/season which started showing this month.
Huge thanks to Jebrill of Tribe-Cast.com for the info via twitter (follow her!). Image provided by the Shortland Street Facebook group (he sure is damn hot!). Oh and sorry for the poor quality/audio sync of the videos. My bad!
[edit] The picture featured in this post is actually from Go Girls. You can see Ari wearing the same shirt it in the trailer for Go Girls episode 3, series 2, ‘We Are Family’ here.
In an article in NZ paper Western Leader, Tom Hern talks about producing the film I’m Not Harry Jenson and working with James Robertson Napier. The guys starred together in The Tribe series 4 & 5 as Techno’s Ram & Jay and alongside each other in Power Rangers Dino Thunder as Devin Del Valle and Conner McKnight.
On working with James on I’m Not Harry Jenson, Tom said the following:
After years of doing television together we decided to start working on a script – something we’d be proud of. So we decided we’d do it 100 percent independently, outside of the normal funding routes such as the New Zealand Film Commission.
Tom ends the interview by saying he has currently got three scripts in development! Busy guy. I’m Not Harry Jenson premieres on July 22nd, more on that here. Well done to Tom and James on the film and all the best with the premiere guys! The full article/interview with Tom Hern can be read here and below.

Just a random bit of info, I went into Tesco’s and found the complete DVD boxset’s for the Power Ranger series Dino Thunder (James Napier, Miriama Smith, Tom Hern, Dwayne Cameron & Antonia Prebble), Ninja Storm (James Napier), Operation Overdrive (Dwayne Cameron & Beth Allen), Mystic Force (Antonia Prebble) and Space Patrol Delta (Beth Allen, James Napier & Dwayne Cameron) for £10 each. It’s a bargain compared to the current play.com or amazon.co.uk prices (see below). I bought the Dino Thunder DVD set.

More info on the dvd’s and the cast featured can be found on the Power Rangers page.
The Power Rangers RPM star has put on a Irish Scottish accent for his role as Flynn, the Full Throttle – Blue Lion – Ranger! Check out the clip below…

Ari sure has grown up since those days as KC in The Tribe, but the Irish Scottish accent is so strong! – It is convincing. He’s done a good job.
The clip is from episode 1 of the series The Road To Corinth, which aired on 7th March 2009. You can find more clips and screenshots over at AriBoyland.com. I was going to stop posting about the series, but I just had to do it as the Irish accent was a suprise!
The Power Rangers series, which has been filmed in New Zealand since 2003, has currently been dropped by Disney. The series has featured numerous New Zealand actors, including from The Tribe: Tom Hern, Miriama Smith, Dwayne Cameron, James Napier, Beth Allen and Antonia Prebble.
Ari Boyland is currently featured in the latest series, Power Rangers RPM, as the Blue Ranger. It premieres today in America, hopefully it’ll be downloadable tomorrow!
Though the future of power Rangers is unclear, it is a shame if it came to a definite end in New Zealand as the series gave us a chance to see many of The Tribe cast again. In an article for New Zealand Herald Charlie McDermott (Beth Allen’s fella), who has also featured in the series, talks about the effect the American corporations has on the New Zealand film industry. The article is below and here. Continue reading…
I’m a bit behind with the Power Rangers news (again!)… Well, here’s the trailer for R.P.M featuring Ari Boyland as the Blue Ranger, named Flynn (very Aussie sounding!).
The trailer looks a bit like a Matrix/Terminator/Stargate mash-up, before going into the usual Power Ranger fare… I think it’s fan-made? Though the quality isn’t high, Ari sure looks good!
For screencaps and more up to date stuff on Ari in Power Rangers R.P.M (Racing Performance Machines) keep an eye out on AriBoyland.com, as I won’t be posting much else on his role now… Unless there’s a few topless scenes – hee hee (- wishful thinking!), there’ll be posts if there are any of The Tribe cast in guest roles this season though (- again wishful thinking!).
Have a good weekend, hope you like the new look on the blog! Also you can now subscribe by e-mail (on the right) to get updates of new postings, so you don’t have to visit here often, though I much love your visits! ; )

Ari Boyland has ‘officially’ been confirmed as joining the cast of Power Rangers R.P.M. According to Star Points Ranger Cast he will be playing the role of the ‘Blue Lion Ranger’. So he’ll be joining the list of previous Tribe stars to feature as rangers in the series; namely James Napier (Dino Thunder) and Dwayne Cameron (Operation Overdrive) – info on them is on the Power Rangers page.
A website has been set up for Ari at: AriBoyland.com it already features pics from previous acting jobs, including some from his role as KC in The Tribe and his role as James Cooper in the Disney movie ‘You Wish’. Well, he’s already got some PR fans wooing over his piercing blue eyes, very fitting he’s in the role of the Blue ranger, as they’ll compliment the blue clothing he’ll probably be wearing allot of.
I’m sure the character’s name and official pics will be released sometime soon… Till then the pic made for this blog will do! Images are edited from those at Linear’s Ranger’s RPM Site (check it out for RPM pics!) and Ari’s agency page… Oh by the way, the RPM stands for Racing Performance Machines. And the blue ranger morphs into a blue bus, now that’s a bus I want to ride. ; )
