Megan Alatini (Java in The Tribe 4 & 5) performed the New Zealand national anthem “God Defend New Zealand” at the rugby Bledisloe Cup 2009 final in Tokyo, Japan, where the New Zealand All Blacks played against the Australian Wallabies.
The match took place on Friday October 31st 2009 (yesterday). Once again her singing must have done the job as the All Black’s won the match! Nice one! – She previously sang the anthem for the South African Springboks in the Tri-Nations final, they later went on to win also. She looks absolutely gorgeous in her black dress, very classy!
Sorry for the poor vid quality, one things for sure is an awesome singer. With thanks to Mary for the info and TonyTai2009 for the video.
Check out the lovely pic of Megan Alatini performing the South African national anthem at the Rugby 2009 Tri-Nations final. She is dressed in a gorgeous traditional South African outfit. Her singing must have gone down a treat as the South African Sprinboks went on to win the trophy in their match against the New Zealand All Blacks.
Megan also performed with her sisters Monique and Meryl Cassie in the half time show. Sadly there are no pics (as yet!) of the Nubian Angelz. [edit] You can find out about the gorgeous tribal necklace Megan is wearing in the pic at Born To Bead, the piece designed by Lisa-Jane looks awesome up close!

An
article on Throng has posted one of
Megan Alatini’s Facebook updates where it is mentioned that Megan Alatini will sing the South African national anthem at the Tri Nations match they have against New Zealand. Not only that but she will also perform with her sisters
Monique and
Meryl Cassie during the half-time match entertainment and also post match entertainment. So if you have a chance the view the Rugby, skip the boring bits and check the girls out singing! The match is on Saturday 12th September 2009 in New Zealand.
All the best to the Angelz with their performance! Sadly I don’t have access to the channels broadcasting the match. But if you do and can take screenshots, please do get in touch!
