Noooooooooooo!!!

From the Tribeworld fanclub newsletter…

Well most of the main cast have now been confirmed! Everyone is aged between 7 and 13 and they’re all very excited!…

Yeah. I’ll bet they’re excited. So there you go, Brady will be 13!!!

Hmm… I’m speachless… The Tribe series 1 core cast were at least aged 10-18… But a bunch of ‘excited’ 7 to 13 year olds screaming ‘Power & Chaos’… Well… Uhm… *runs*

Cast members for A New Tomorrow?

Another update today!…

Good luck to our young HIBS aspiring TV stars who were chosen recently to audition for the new Cloud 9 children’s show “The Tribe – The New Tomorrow”. Andrew Brown, Cameron Wakefield, Andrew Miller, Alex Jellie, Jonathan Anderson, Jason Jina, Robbie Forsythe and Joshua Tukua all strutted their stuff at Avalon studios last week

Andrew Miller? Any relation to Nick Miller (Pride)?

This came out on 14th April 2005 from the HIBS school, Upper Hutt, New Zealand. HIBS = Hutt International Boys School (for ages 11-18).

A New Tomorrow; Brady & Bray Return?!

A quote from Raymond Thompson:

The New Tomorrow will be a “younger, gentler” sequel to the 260-episode The Tribe. “It will involve some of the baby characters in the original series. It’s still the same world, without adults, but 10 years on.”

So we may see Brady & a grown up baby Bray and also, er, Ebony’s child?!? Well Tribemaster *coughs* loosely said Ebony’s pregnant… Check out other Tribemaster reports for an idea of how A New Tomorrow will pan out. We can assume Amber, Lex, Ebony and co. are rotting corpses by now, so no chance of a comeback.

The words ‘younger’ and ‘gentler’ are pretty worrying. If it’s set 10 years after Series 5 of The Tribe, Brady will be 13ish and Bray Junior 11! Oh dear.

The quote is from an article published on 15th March in ‘The Hutt News’, a local New Zealand paper. The article also featured a casting number, for any New Zealand peeps interested in auditioning for the show. To read the entire article, click here.

An Update From Tribeworld…

News today from the Tribeworld e-Fanzine:

The Art Department HOD and the Wardrobe HOD (head of department) both start on Monday and will start organising set design, costume design and all sorts of other bits and pieces. They need a lot of pre-production time to recruit their staff and start planning.

Looks like they’re all sorted with the cast if they’re getting the costumes sorted. Oooh… It’s definitely building up pace now… (We need some photos Tribeworld!!!)

Bored… Again!

Lol. Had a weird thought t’other day. You know Meryl Cassie (Ebony) had her sisters Megan Alatini (Java) and Monique Cassie (Siva) in the Tribe, well they have a younger sister (well I’ve been told they have)… Just imagine if this kid sister got a role in A New Tomorrow! Lmao! Maybe playing Ebony’s daughter or something. Now that would be weird.

A New Tomorrow for Caleb Ross?

Looks like Caleb Ross (The Tribe’s Lex) might be seeing A New Tomorrow after The Tribe, from Tribeworld:

Caleb Ross was in the office last week helping out with a casting session. He helped some of the kids with their lines and through the casting audition. It looks like he’ll also be helping out on the new series in another role as well – we’ll keep you posted.

Maybe he’ll be working behind the scenes? Unless of course ’sexy Lexy’ was killed and he mysteriously returns as a computer which can talk or as an all singing and dancing robot!?! Well it is the future after all!… Eh! Who writes this stuff?! :D

- Cheers to Lancie for directing me to Tribeworld!

Bored…

I’m bored. Thought I’d C&P some old news from enterCloud9.com

A New Tomorrow is underway! Casting is now occurring for The Tribe sequel “A New Tomorrow” with production crews being recruited and pre-production commencing on March 21st 2005. Lots of kids have been auditioning over the past two weeks and some of the core cast have already been selected.

Shooting will start in May which means that the Tribe sequel will be available for transmission around October 2005. The series is currently scheduled to air around that time on Channel FIVE in the UK and Network Seven in Australia.

Cloud 9’s distributors, Southern Star, will be discusing the Tribe sequel “The New Tomorrow” with broadcasters at the MIP television festival in Cannes in mid April.

[edit] The MIP festival is on now, from 11th till 15th April… Which probably explains why Tribeworld hasn’t been updated?… Pfft!
